Terms and conditions

Effective 1 November 2026. These terms explain how you may use Afterhours on games.hackways.in, including the TFI collection, public scores and contact form. References to the site or its operator mean the team operating this Afterhours service on Hackways. You can reach the operator through our contact page.

Agreement and eligibility

Please read these terms before playing. The TFI notice provides a link to this page and asks you to agree before continuing into a game. If you do not agree, choose Back or stop using the games. You must have the legal capacity to agree, or use the service with a parent or legal guardian where applicable law permits. A parent or guardian should review the games and these terms before allowing a child to use them.

Entertainment, fictional scenarios and respect

The games are provided for recreation. The TFI collection is fan-made, movie-inspired entertainment using playful scenarios, reactions, images and audio. Game events, scores, outcomes and combinations of media are not factual reports about a real person's conduct, character, private life, beliefs or statements.

Our intention is to entertain, not to defame, humiliate, harass, threaten or damage the reputation of any person, community or organisation. A game result or reaction must not be presented as evidence of real events or as a real-world allegation. We do not endorse attacks on actors, creators, people depicted in media or other players.

This statement of intent does not remove anyone's legal rights and is not a declaration that every use of media is legally permitted. If a particular portrayal or item raises a concern, please use the content-review process below.

No official affiliation or endorsement

Unless a particular credit expressly says otherwise, the TFI games are not official film releases and are not sponsored, approved or endorsed by the actors, filmmakers, studios, music labels, platforms or other people and organisations referred to. Names, appearances, characters and film references identify the inspiration for an edition; they do not establish a commercial relationship or endorsement.

Images, audio and other intellectual property

Film material, photographs, music, recordings, names, likenesses, trademarks and other third-party material may be protected by rights belonging to their respective holders. We do not claim ownership of those third-party rights. Material being available on social media or elsewhere online does not make it public domain or automatically give permission to reuse it.

These terms do not grant you a licence to extract, redistribute, sell, commercially exploit or impersonate someone using third-party media from the site. Permission or another applicable legal basis may be required. An entertainment notice, credit or disclaimer is not a substitute for permission where permission is required.

Open-source games and assets retain the licences, notices and credits supplied with them. The Credits & source links in supported players explain those materials. Nothing in these terms removes rights expressly granted by an applicable open-source licence. Site branding and original presentation remain subject to their applicable rights.

Content concerns, corrections and removal requests

If you are depicted in an item, own relevant rights, represent a rights holder, or believe something is inaccurate, defamatory, invasive or otherwise unlawful, please contact the operator using the contact form. A title such as Content concern or Rights request helps us identify your message. Please include:

Provide information you reasonably believe is accurate and sufficient for us to identify the item. Do not send passwords, identity documents or unnecessary sensitive information. We may request relevant clarification. We will review concerns and may correct, restrict, mute or remove material while assessing them. This process does not prevent anyone from using remedies available under applicable law; we do not promise a particular outcome or imply that a complainant has waived any rights.

Permitted use and behaviour

You may access the available games for lawful personal recreation, subject to these terms and any applicable third-party licence. Do not use the service to harass or defame someone, impersonate another person, publish unlawful material, threaten people, or misuse another person's name or image.

Do not attempt unauthorised access to the admin console, interfere with the service, introduce malicious software, evade abuse controls, exploit other users, or automate activity that unreasonably harms availability. Do not manipulate public scores or present a game outcome as an independently verified achievement. Responsible issue reports can be sent through the contact page.

Scores, local progress and submissions

Saved games, recent games, preferences and personal bests generally stay in your browser. Clearing storage, changing devices, private browsing, updates or browser failures may remove progress. Some open-source games maintain their own saves and settings. We do not promise permanent retention or recovery of local progress.

Where score sharing is supported, submission is optional and the chosen nickname, game and score may be shown publicly. Scores are client-reported entertainment data, not verified identities or certified results. They have no cash value, and no prize or payment is promised. We may restrict or remove abusive names or invalid submissions and may reset scores when needed to operate a game.

Submit only information you have the right to provide. Contact messages are sent privately to the administrator rather than published as public game content. The site does not acquire ownership of your contact message merely because you send it; we use it to receive, assess and handle the request, as described in the privacy notice.

Privacy, analytics and advertising choices

Our Privacy and analytics page explains browser storage, optional score sharing, contact messages, operational monitoring and Google services. Agreement to these terms is separate from any consent required for analytics, cookies or advertising; clicking Continue does not replace a legally required privacy choice.

The homepage may contain a small labelled third-party ad. The TFI collection and all game players have no advertising placements. Third-party providers control eligible advertising and their own processing, subject to applicable choices and policies. Advertising does not imply our endorsement of an advertiser or its claims. Optional analytics preferences can be managed on the privacy page.

Third-party games, services and links

Some games originate from independent open-source projects, and some links lead to other services. Their licences, features, content and policies may differ. We do not control external websites or guarantee their availability, security, content or practices. Check the relevant credits and policies before relying on an external service.

Availability and service limitations

Games may change, be updated, become unavailable or be removed. Maintenance, browser compatibility, network conditions, demand and third-party services can affect loading, sound, performance or saves. Use the available pause, sound and motion settings to suit your preferences. Stop a session whenever you wish.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device or permanently retain data. We do not warrant that a game, meme or third-party statement is accurate, suitable for every audience, or legally usable for every purpose.

Liability and rights that cannot be excluded

To the extent applicable law permits, the operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the free games, loss of browser-stored progress or reliance on third-party material. These terms do not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, excuse unlawful conduct, or remove mandatory consumer, privacy, intellectual-property or other statutory rights.

Nothing here makes a disclaimer an automatic defence to a claim. Questions about an individual person's rights, a particular item of media or the enforceability of a clause depend on the facts and applicable law.

Changes, applicable law and contact

We may revise these terms as the service changes. The effective date identifies the published version. Material updates to the TFI notice may ask players to review the terms again. Changes do not remove rights that applicable law protects or retroactively resolve existing complaints.

Applicable law governs your rights and obligations. Disputes remain subject to the courts and mandatory rules that lawfully apply. If part of a term is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue only to the extent permitted by law.

For questions about these terms, technical issues or a content concern, use Contact. For information about personal data and preferences, read Privacy and analytics.
